Terms of Service — Soundica

Operated by Soundica. Effective 2026-06-23. Version 1.2.

These are the general Terms of Service for Soundica, an independent studio publishing voice-first apps for phones and Android Automotive. They apply across every app Soundica publishes. Each individual app may also have its own Terms with additional, app-specific provisions (for example, jurisdictional notices under India's IT Rules 2021); the per-app Terms take precedence over this general document where they differ.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using any Soundica app, or by using soundica.app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and stop using the website.

2. Licence to use

Soundica grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Soundica apps on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to Google Play's Terms of Service. Soundica retains all intellectual-property rights in the apps themselves.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Third-party content and fair use

Soundica apps display headlines, thumbnails, summaries, and other content retrieved from publicly available RSS feeds and public APIs published by independent outlets. Soundica does not claim ownership of this third-party content. All trademarks, logos, article text, images, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Content is shown under principles of fair use / fair dealing applicable in the relevant jurisdiction: headlines and brief attributed snippets only, with no embedding of full articles, no removal of attribution, and no commercial republication.

5. Rights-holder takedown

If you are a rights holder and believe a Soundica app is displaying your content outside what fair use / fair dealing permits, contact admin@soundica.app. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and, on verifying the rights claim, remove the source from our aggregation. App-specific takedown timelines and grievance-officer details (for example, the 15-day window under Rule 3(2) of India's IT Rules 2021 applicable to Bollywood Today) are set out in each app's own Terms.

6. Disclaimers

Soundica apps and soundica.app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Soundica does not warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from defects, or that any content displayed is accurate, current, or complete.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Soundica, its founders, contributors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) any Soundica app or soundica.app, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if Soundica has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Soundica harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

9. Termination

You may stop using any Soundica app at any time by uninstalling it. Soundica may suspend or discontinue any app or service at any time, with or without notice. The licence granted in section 2 terminates automatically on uninstall or on Soundica's discontinuation of the relevant app.

10. Changes to these Terms

Soundica may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Effective" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of any Soundica app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law and venue

Unless an app's own Terms specify otherwise, these Terms are interpreted under the laws of the jurisdiction where Soundica is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

12. Per-app Terms

For provisions specific to each app — including, where applicable, India IT Rules 2021 notices, grievance-officer details, and game-specific terms — see the app's own Terms of Service:
