Terms of Service — Soundica FM

1. What Soundica FM is

Soundica FM is a free content player that brings together, in one app: (a) news headlines and short summaries from publicly available publisher RSS feeds, read aloud by your device's own text-to-speech engine; (b) a podcast directory and player; (c) public-domain audiobooks; and (d) public-domain and openly licensed music and ambient sound. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

2. News content, attribution, and links

The App displays headlines, short excerpts supplied by the publishers' own RSS feeds, feed-referenced thumbnails, and the publisher's name for every item. Each article carries a clearly marked Source control that opens the original article on the publisher's site.
All editorial content remains the property of the respective publishers. The App does not reproduce full articles, does not remove attribution, does not bypass paywalls, and streams no publisher audio.
Headlines and short excerpts are shown for the purpose of news reporting and referencing under the applicable fair use, fair dealing, quotation, and press-information exceptions, and always together with a link to the original source.
The read-aloud feature synthesizes speech on your device from the same short excerpt shown on screen. It creates no new copy of publisher content on any Soundica server.
If you are a publisher and prefer not to be included, or want your listing adjusted, contact us (Section 8) and we will act promptly, normally by removing the feed in the next content-roster update.

3. Podcasts

Podcast listings come from Apple's public iTunes directory endpoints; episode audio streams directly from each show's own hosting provider, exactly as the publisher distributes it. Soundica does not host, alter, or monetize the shows. Rights remain with the podcast owners; removal requests are honored the same way as Section 2.

4. Audiobooks, music, and ambient sound

Audiobooks are public-domain recordings (principally LibriVox) streamed from the Internet Archive. LibriVox recordings are dedicated to the public domain by their readers.
Classical music is limited to recordings cleared through one of three routes: a public-domain or CC0 dedication by the performer, a United States government work, or an expired copyright term, verified against both the composition and the recording.
Ambient recordings are public-domain and CC0 field recordings. Calm and meditation music is CC0, Public Domain Mark, or CC-BY, with attribution shown in the App's credits and on the licenses page.
Everything streams from its original host (Internet Archive, Wikimedia Commons). Nothing is rehosted, and every catalog entry passes an allow-list check tied to its verified source before it can play.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial listening and reading. You may not scrape, redistribute, or resell content obtained through the App, misrepresent its origin, or use the App in a way that violates a publisher's or host's own terms. The App is not a substitute for the publishers' sites; for the full story, follow the Source link.

6. Availability and warranty

Content comes from third parties and can change, move, or disappear without notice; languages, topics, and catalog items may vary by region and over time. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Soundica is not liable for the accuracy of third-party news content or for interruptions in third-party hosting.

7. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new version number. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

8. Copyright complaints (DMCA and equivalent)

Soundica respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content available through the App infringes your rights, contact us via the imprint on soundica.app with subject "DMCA / Copyright inquiry - Soundica FM", identifying the work, the location in the App, and your contact details. We remove or disable access to infringing material promptly, normally within 72 hours of a valid notice.
