Soundica FM is a free content player that brings together, in one app: (a) news headlines and short summaries from publicly available publisher RSS feeds, read aloud by your device's own text-to-speech engine; (b) a podcast directory and player; (c) public-domain audiobooks; and (d) public-domain and openly licensed music and ambient sound. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.
Soundica grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to Google Play's Terms of Service (or, for the Appning store, the FORVIA distribution terms). Soundica retains all intellectual-property rights in the App itself (the code, UI, assets, and brand).
Podcast listings come from Apple's public iTunes directory endpoints; episode audio streams directly from each show's own hosting provider, exactly as the publisher distributes it. Soundica does not host, alter, or monetize the shows. Rights remain with the podcast owners; removal requests are honored the same way as Section 3.
To find a preview picture for a headline whose feed carries none, Soundica's image-lookup service reads the article's public web page once and returns only the picture's address, which the App then loads from the publisher's own servers. Where a headline was discovered through Google News, the service resolves the Google News link to the publisher's address first. Soundica does not copy, store, or redistribute article pages or pictures.
Publisher logos are shown unmodified and solely to identify the source of a headline (nominative use). They are either bundled with the App or served, unaltered, from Soundica's edge cache after being fetched from the publisher's public site icon. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners; this implies no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. A publisher who prefers that its logo not be shown, or its pages not be read for preview pictures, may write to admin@soundica.app and will be removed within 7 days.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial listening and reading. You may not scrape, redistribute, or resell content obtained through the App, misrepresent its origin, or use the App in a way that violates a publisher's or host's own terms. Feeds, directories, and archives used by the App are published openly to the public internet by their owners. Under the CJEU's Svensson doctrine, linking to or streaming such content reaches no "new public" beyond the audience the publisher has already addressed. Where a publisher or host restricts content by region, the App respects the restriction and does not attempt to circumvent it. Sources may differ by country and may change at any time.
The App displays headlines, publisher names, show titles, host names, and artwork as supplied in each public feed or archive record, for the limited purpose of identifying the item and its source. This is nominative use and does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any other commercial relationship. If you hold publicity or personality rights and believe a specific use is inappropriate, contact the address in Section 17.
Content comes from third parties and can change, move, or disappear without notice; languages, topics, and catalog items may vary by region and over time. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Soundica is not liable for the accuracy of third-party news content or for interruptions in third-party hosting.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Soundica's total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App (which is zero). Soundica is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions where certain statutory rights cannot be excluded (notably under EU and UK consumer-protection law and Singapore's Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act), those rights are unaffected.
You agree to indemnify and hold Soundica harmless from any claim, demand, or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.
When used on an Android Automotive head unit, an Android Auto projection, or an Appning by FORVIA AOSP head unit, the App follows the distraction-free interaction model required by Google's Cars policy and the FORVIA portal: large touch targets, voice-first playback, glanceable layout, and parked-only settings panels. You remain solely responsible for driving safely and complying with all road rules in your jurisdiction; do not interact with the head unit when doing so would be unsafe or illegal.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Soundica may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. The licence in Section 2 terminates automatically on uninstall or discontinuation.
We may update the App and these Terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new version number. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Soundica respects intellectual property rights and the App acts as an information-location-tool service for the purpose of notice-and-takedown. If you are a rights holder and believe content available through the App infringes your rights or is displayed beyond what the applicable exceptions permit, contact Soundica's designated copyright agent at admin@soundica.app with subject "Copyright/DMCA - Soundica FM", identifying the work, the location in the App, and your contact details. We will acknowledge promptly and, on verifying a valid claim, remove or disable access to the source or item promptly, normally within 72 hours and in any case within 7 days.
For a notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(d), please include the elements required by § 512(c)(3): identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the material to be removed (the story, show, recording, or feed URL), your contact details, the good-faith statement, the accuracy certification, and the physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or authorised agent. Because the App does not host publisher content, removal from the App does not affect the publisher's or host's own copy.
Soundica maintains and enforces a repeat-infringer policy under § 512(i): sources that draw repeated valid infringement complaints are excluded from the App. For the EU, notices under the Digital Services Act (DSA) Art. 16 notice-and-action mechanism may be sent to the same address and will receive a substantiated decision and information on appeal.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are an EU or UK consumer, you may rely on mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any non-waivable right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of your own jurisdiction.
